Ran PSSs on my 11' 370. I liked them better than the Bridgestones that were stock. They were one of the best wet weather tires I have ever run. However, I do not like them. They do not do well in cold weather (as expected), but when they are at half thread...expect very little traction. They only last 10K as well. Same as the stones and the GY on my zl1.
I must say, their reputation seems to be their best attribute |

Picked up a nail in one of my OEM rears - wondered why it was losing pressure all the time. I've got 6013 miles on the car so far and all the tires are basically slicks now (OEM Goodyears).
My .02 on the Goodyears - they are a dry track tire at best. The only time they are good on the street is when it's 80+ ambient (the higher the better). This is a high performance car after all. I've used Pilot Super Sports before on a Nissan Maxima and they were awesome. I thought they wore a little fast but nothing like the Supercar F1's on the 'maro. After reading all the comments, and my experience with the F1's, the decision is pretty much made - go with the 295/315 Michelin combo on the ZL1. If anyone knows of a deal, or coupon code, or website or something that will save anything on these it would be much appreciated! |

Anyone running these on a modified ZL1? I'm getting close to 700 HP at the tires and these Goodyears are not cutting it...These Michelins look to have a longer life expectancy and that makes me think the tires are not as soft, so they wouldn't be as sticky...I really don't want to run the Nitto NT05R's all the time just so I can have good grip.

I have 749 rwhp, just got my pilots today, I was running mickey dr's but not impressed at all with them. I cant comment on the pilots because it's calling for snow tomorrow. I guess I have to wait until spring, wish I lived in the south!

The Super Sports are not a drag tire, they are ideal for a road course.

You can still get them sticky enough to pick up every single pebble you drive over.
I have no idea what sort of burnout you'd need to get them there, though. Norm |

I have DR's to put on the car for the track, I am looking for a tire that has better grip then the F1's but won't wear out as fast as the soft tires....These will be my every day driving tire on the streets, but they have to be able to bite...the F1's just spin every time I hit the gas.

The PSS will spin pretty easily but they are a significant improvement over the F1's. They wear longer and are more forgiving as a DD. The handling is at least equal.

I got 30k out of my first set of pilot super sports. As far as im concerned, they are the best highway tire on the market. Granted, im not a racer, and i dont burn out constantly, but ive gotten alot of life out of them. A few burnouts here and there at annual cruise nights, the unintentional breaking loose during shifts, and spirited driving, ive been very happy with them, and will continue to use them
