Yep good reco...like others said too check for someting else wrong...

Times change, on our 60's GTOs, SSs we would raise them. Coil over shocks etc in rear and spaces under the springs in front to level and raise 1/2 to an inch.

To me, the car does look lowered.

Return the car to its stock ride height and I'm sure you'll be fine.

how can i make sure? Whats the normal height maybe I can measure it.

Whenever there is something protruding in the road, it never clears it and always hits it. Its not a scrape, its a BANG hit! under the car not the front of the fascia but under. So the front end will clear, but the underneath wont.

Going slow doesnt help.

How does the car ride? Does it seem to have a pretty stiff ride?

Also, some better pictures looking at your car from the side would help. A stock Camaro has a pretty large gap between the tires and fenders.

Some of the suspension experts could probably check in and tell you how many inches a stock fender should be from the road. I'd check on my front end, but I'm sitting in a chair with a cast on my leg.

But I've seen several threads where guys have measurued their car from the street to the fender before and after getting lowering springs to show the hieight difference from the road.

Based on a thread I was just reading it said the stock ride height is supposed to be (fronts are at 30 inches and rears 30 1/4 inches). I believe that is from the street to the bottom of the fenders.
If you car is lowered it should be around 29" in the front (street to fender).

If I'm seeing that small pic in your sig correctly, it looks like the front end of your car is over the parking stanchion so I don't think it's lowered.

If it's hitting something AFTER your front end clears, something is definitely wrong. There shouldn't be anything under your car with a significantly lower clearance than your front fascia (at least I didn't see anything like that when I did my exhaust a month ago).

Also, that 'bang' could be your exhaust hitting the cross brace for the drive shaft tunnel. I would not raise the car. Take the tunnel brace off, drive around and see if you still get the noise.

If you crawl under your car you'll see a flat, thin, brace that go across the tunnel. Your stock exhaust goes right above it.

Check out the first post in this thread. It's an aftermarket tunnel brace.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=tunnel+brace

Check to see if your exhaust is touching or real close to making contact with the tunnel brace. That can cause a banging noise when you go over bumps.

I see you have an axle back exhaust, That shouldn't make your exhaust hang lower. Its usually aftermarket catbacks that cause the problem.
