RPMs are what you're concerned about. I've always read keep it below 2500 RPM.

yeah thats what i meant.. just drive it to unlimited. Your bolt on tune will get you where you from point a to point b, and thats it. I had a friend in the 383 caddilac with a different upgraded stroker cam with the old tune while in the freshly built motor, drove it a 100 miles +/- before getting a break in tune with ruben. They got a dyno now at UP, i suggest spending the 60-100$ extra and getting it dyno tuned. It'll take them a day or so to tune it just right, but then again every car is different, and how busy they are. If u get a chance, get a bung welded into ur exhaust so they can tune via a wideband.
And what they said, you have to heat cycle the springs. Cold start and run it for a while then shut it down till it's completely cold once again. And repeat.

Do you need to heat cycle the springs, if you have a tune? I am going to be doing a cam soon myself. I will be getting a tune, but doing the cam install myself. and I want to make sure I do it if needed.

Yes! A tune has nothing to do with how the valve springs work. Like others have said, springs need heat to operate properly and not break. After installing new springs they need to be heat cycled. After that, every time you drive the car, you need to let the engine warm to proper operating temperature before getting on the throttle to lessen your chances of a broken spring.

Broken spring can mean valve contact with a piston and a costly engine rebuild.

Obviously 416 > 376. Even Litle knows that.
