Much earlier in the summer my car was used by a friend at Roush/SLP for a instructional video on how to install the gill stripes.....hard to see, but they are flat black on AGM.

Just found the pictures today...

Note: this is the building in Michigan that Roush builds all of their street cars for sales: Mustangs and Raptors...you can see the assembly line in the background.

Saw something a little ominous on the inside of the left rear wheel upon a random pre-track day inspection while bleeding the brakes...

Seal was not torn at all...There was just some leaking past the band. GM does not use adjustable bands so this is a go/no go situation.

I mentioned to someone I could have the axle changed in 20 minutes.....The picture on the floor is the axle after 17 minutes from the time I touched the jack. Took about 35 minutes total

I like. I want them Z/28 wheels but would use coil overs in an effort to fine tune that gap...

Congrats on your build. Loads of great info

Thanks. Car is already 15mm lower in the front and 30/35mm lower in the rear. With the 305/30/19 tires you would not want to go any lower than it is now unless it was a dedicated track car. The subframe and exhaust are about 3.5" off the ground.

The Z/28 actually sits higher than my car and it utilizes the fender flare/trim to make it look visually lower as the trim hangs lower than the sheet metal.

Matt

That is not me....That 1LE is black, mine is Ashen Grey. If I had to guess you met Mirza in that black one. I am bald, broad shouldered and about as Caucasian as they come.

Ah ok! Who do you race with? We usually go with Northwoods Shelby Club... Your car and mine are similarly modded I would love to see them head to head!

Very nice and detailed info! Thanks. I am wondering how you replaced the grill bars after removal of the bow tie in front - I like it and would like to try it on my 13 2SS.

I really enjoyed reading through this!! I will keep an eye out for updates.

Do you have the Z28 Recaro seat in yet? Does the manual seat sit lower and provide more headroom or are they about the same?

Car is naSSty man - very good thread. Jealous of your wheels obviously. Considering aftermarket reproductions but they're 20's. Just not sure...

I have the guy for you to re-do your clear bra. Best in MI by far. Larry Stengren owns Clear Auto Bra Michigan. Outstanding work. Tell him Dave and Brent sent you.

Purchased May 2013 so it has remainder of 3/36 Bumper to Bumper as well as 5/100k power train
I do not have the stock wheels or stock brakes

NOTE:
I do have the stock drivers seat so I may sell that separately.
I may be open to a trade z/28 wheels for authentic 1LE/ZL1 black stock wheels.

Please NO HOW MUCH messages. I have been living at a hospital and haven't had an opportunity to investigate worth.

Car was stored Dec-April and was put in storage this year in Nov.
Sorry to hear that Matt! Let me know if I can help out in some way....Maybe I will take that Z28 seat off your hands...Prayers and thoughts are with you and yours
