Installing newer speedo gauge cluster

Hi, Has anyone tried updating there 2010 or 2011 camaro ss to a newer gauge cluster from a 2012 or 2013 model year? I bought a cluster from a 2012 model ss installed it everything comes on, back lights, service lights, fuel gauge works, speedo and rpm do the complete cycle, but no response when i touch the throttle from the rpm needle, and mileage does not show up either. Has anyone tried swapping theirs out, but got better results? Would love some help or suggestions, thank you
