$10K markup on ZL1

My local Chevy dealership has 2 ZL1's and a 2SS/1LE.
They are selling them for 10 grand over sticker.

How many ZL1 owners out there paid over sticker?
And, how many prospective ZL1 buyers would consider this..?

The Markup makes the ZL1's $68,xxx and $70,xxx

Drive to Cheyenne or Fort Collins and pay sticker. Both dealerships have ZL1s. And both have sold many. Usually the dealers that are trying to charge over msrp only got one because they suck.

$2500 under sticker. I would never pay over sticker! I'd drive out if state before letting the dealer try and give me a raw deal. Keep looking, there are good deals out there. Or flat out tell the dealer you're willing to pay MSRP and not a penny more, you tell them you have the money and they can make the deal today if they get it to you at the price you want. Good luck!

Got my 2013 ZL1, only option I chose was the navigation for $55,250. Don't pay over MSRP. Some dealers WANT to make a sale and earn a customer, some just want your money.

Ignore dealers who mark their cars above MSRP!!

Ignore these dealers that are marking up their prices on ZL1's over MSRP. Let them sit on them. There are plenty of good honest dealers out there now that have ZL1's in stock on their showroom floors, or have a pending allocation. They are not as hard to get as they were at first. If anyone is truly interested in getting one, and not paying an inflated price, just do some dealer research on the internet. There may not be one available a few miles from your home. But the extra cost that might be incurred for getting your car at MSRP from a dealer out of your area will probably far outweigh these other greedy dealers' markups. With a little reseach on the web, you should be able to find the car you want, or a dealer that will order it for you at MSRP.

Fort Collins had 6 on the lot the other day. I got mine there and paid sticker 6 months ago.

Down here all the dealers have them at least 10K+ over.

average ZL1 is mid 60s to low 70s
sucks.
and yet they sell for that down here.

Cobras are in the same boat way way over MSRP.

That's friggin' stupid. I got an offer for sticker (although they were going to up the trade in for over kbb trade in value which in effect was a discount) and one for about $1000 under sticker for one. There's oodles of ZL1s out there and if they can get more than MSRP on them, good luck. When the '14's are available for order, you'll start to see those prices start to drop significantly or it may affect their ability to get '14s, which could be bad as well. Not sure how the allocations are awarded.
