I like the spoiler.

IMO The ZL1 changes are helping a lot with the look of the 6Gen.

GM has been predictable in the past so I think this car has surprised the competition and surpassed what many of us had hoped for. They aren't playing around and makes me optimistic that more surprises are coming.

My wish would be a higher output NA engine for the Z/28 and a larger 2.3L blower for the ZL1.

Merging the Z/28 and ZL1 into one LT4 model doesn't make sense unless they choose not to respond to the GT350R, 13/14 GT500 or Hellcat. A LT4 car would be nice but not a true track car and barely answers what Dodge and Ford has done much less what is coming.

Chevy didn't hold back with the SS. I'm hoping jaws will drop to the floor when the 1LE, Z/28 and ZL1 roll out

Edit: There is room for both engines described in the Corvette and Camaro lines. Ford claims the GT350R is at C7 Z51 track levels and the C7 Z06 has shown in the 10.4 sec 1/4 run that it can put down all 650 HP since drag radials made no real difference. C7 has room for a Grand Sport and ZR1. IMO

The ZL1 spy car looks beastly. I don't have a problem with the LT4 being used for it and having less peak HP than the competition either. It could end up being the best overall high performance pony car much like the fifth gen ZL1 was. The possible 6th gen 1LE could really show what this new platform is capable of with a proper set of tires and whatever else they go with this time around. I have my eye on a V6 daily driver to compliment my 1LE. I am really impressed with the lowered weight and improved powertrains. What's crazy is that with all the great improvements this next generation is bringing the thing that makes me want to buy one most is that gorgeous Blue paint job.

In other news life is good and I have a wonderful Godly woman to cut into mod money for the 1LE. I don't mind a bit.

Well this is at least a small harbinger of great things to come.

As we've discussed many times, the 1LE could have simply been the Z/28. It certainly has the credentials and was certainly superior to the spirit of any Z28 or Z/28 in the mid years. So anything with track cred "could" earn the name. But now, the name has to be superior to the 350R. It would be an utter failure now to bring out a Z/28 and have it not best the Ford.

As for the ZL1, I'd be really happy about a 3800, 3850 pound ZL1 with "just" 650 HP. That would be something very special.

But with the camo and at this stage, it's looking like 2017 will have even more excitement for the Camaro.

It's not a question of the power level from the LT4 or the Camaro "needing" more. It's that Chevy went no compromises with the SS and a LT4 Z/28 is a compromise to the ideals established in gen5 as is a ZL1 with a 1.7L blower when all the other kids are sporting 2.3 to 2.4L.

Very nice. I would love to drive that track one day. You can't be a man and not love the sound of an LS7.

That was fun to watch.

Reminded me of college, except my car in college wouldn't do that.

The last gen5 Z/28

Barrett Jackson auctioned the last Z/28 on Friday Sept 25. They said less than 2000 were built total (14-15). You guys and gals own a rare car.

Quote:
This car is the very last of the fifth generations built and comes with a Letter of Authenticity. Less than 2,000 fifth-generation Z/28s were produced, 2014 and 2015 models combined. Proceeds of this sale will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
