I think the reliability claim is a moving target depending on what window they look at - for all manufacturers. I still believe the Chevy trucks rank very high on reliability.

I’m glad! I hate those claims of superiority by any manufacturer unless proven! Reliability in what regard, initial quality? Every car is reliable initially! Wait a few hundred or thousand miles then take your survey. Bet it would be a much different picture!

I've seen that ad a couple of time. Always made me raise an eyebrow. They said "...according to a survey" or some such which raised another eyebrow.

I would love for American cars to take the reliability crown, and they could do it if they decided to, but that has yet to happen, IMHO.

I would like to see more Camaro and Truck ads full of toxic masculinity showing some badass burnout or off roading or trailering.

A crying Mustang owner would be a nice thing to see in an ad, LOL.

I retired and drive part time for a parts retailer. Delivering parts to dealer and Napa approved garages I find local GM product dealers, Chevrolet, GMC, and(Cadillac (probably cause their so expensive)), are not as busy as Honda and Toyota. At the Honda dealer there is a constant line and my son had to make appointments weeks in advance to get his car in. Unsure about Toyota but their garages are always seem full. Sure everyone has their problems and GM problem stepped on the line but I am on my third new Chevy and my wife is on her second Toyota and her Toyota is the only one we have had an issue with. touch screen keeps locking up. I did have a recall on the Camaro but they fixed it with no other issues. Also several recalls on the wife's Toyota. So I say Chevy has improved their reliability.

Yeah and I believe I read this morning the problem with the survey was something like only 40K out of 800K responded something along those lines

It's still at the top of their web-page....(You can also view the ad with the Camaro as one of seven affordable cars in line with some of the soon to be discontinued models)…

Took the thought right out of my head. When I think of GM and performance commercials I think of the Cobalt SS bumping the Corvette in the back.

Dodge has supremecy in the blood pumping ads with the SRT lineup. Chevy makes great commercials...said no one ever.
