Oil

So I've got a LS3 with a stage 4 cam headers ect. just purchased it and this will be my first oil change i like mobile 1 oil what velocity is best for the engine? Back in the day we use to run 20W50 but things have changed like they have 0W50 5W30 ect. Im in Texas so its hot in the summer and we dont really get a long winter. Thanks in advance.

Talk to whoever built the engine as far as oil viscosity-if the bearings are set up with tight clearances you don't want too thick of an oil. Also depending on the builder they may want you to run a conventional or break in oil for first change.

Stage 3 cam with all the goodies! Running Mobil 1, 5W30 for the last 31k miles. My builder said I could run 10W40 if I wanted to, but the 5W30 is doing just fine.
