2014 Corvette 3LT Z51 Most Popular
The most popular version for the 2014 Corvette Stingray was the Z51 Coupe, with 41% (15,431 units) of all Corvettes sold sporting this highest performance form. Among those Z51 Stingray coupes, a whopping 61% were fitted with the top of the line 3LT equipment package while 29% picked 2LT and just 9% opted for the base model 1LT layout. This means that 9,412 2014 Corvettes had a starting price (before any stand-alone options) of right around $70,000.
More complete details, here: http://www.torquenews.com/106/z51-3l...-red-top-color And now, with the 8-speed Automatic available, 11-second Vettes will sell even better. The 10-second Z06? Icing on the cake! . |

Does it say how many of those were customer ordered vs dealership ordered?
Seems to me that a lot of dealers ordered pretty well optioned out cars most of the time. I guess that way you've got more of the populous covered? |

This sounds like the dealers taking advantage of high demand for the car than anything else. But a good sign anyway that they are selling well at these prices.

For what it's worth, while doing the Corvette Plant Tour at the end of June, our tour guide told me that 75% of all 2014 C7 Corvette orders were customer orders. Sounds high, but that's what he said.
