Unhappy 2015 Camaro Power Steering Issue (with video)

I have a 2015 Camaro LS with a little under 20,000 miles on it. Recently I've noticed a whine coming from the steering wheel when turning the wheel. I went and checked the PS fluid and the level is good as is the color, but it has a heavy smell of burnt electrics/motor to it. I haven't gotten any dash warnings about it yet. Looks like there's a lot of power steering issues on this forum, I wasn't able to find any exactly like my symptoms but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced similar. Here's a quick video of the noise and wheel https://youtu.be/hqCfHKfifj4

I'm going to make an appointment next weekend to take it in.

I had the same issue. The dealer replaced the rack. Apparently it's a bushing input shaft enters the rack unit.... I had an extended warranty, so I only had to pay the deductible.
