If you r running a Vitesse Throttle Controller, try removing that and testing again. Many people have had issues with them. Just a thought. Its probably the easiest to remove and test and reinstall if thats not it.

I visited the diablo site and noticed that their AFM defeater lists compatibility beginning with 2011, not 2010.

Is there something different about how AFM works in 2010 cars?

Why would a V6 owner want this on one of our cars . We don't have AFM.

This! One of those things nearly screwed up my car. Take it off and throw it out.

I agree, before you go messing around with all of that, take the Vitesse Throttle Controller off and also it wont hurt a bit to disconnect your battery overnight to help reset everything while your pulling off the controller. Time to reteach an old dog some new tricks.

Update: I’ve removed the throttle controller and spacer. Got a new gasket for the manifold and torqued it to the GM specs. Took it out for a ride and bam cyclinder 2 misfire. I’m out of options at this point.

Sounds like a timing issue to me. Either chains, the crank sensor, or reluctor wheel.

Are any of these items very cheap and easy to replace? Lol.

I think the crank sensor might be inexpensive and easy to replace. But I'd probably start with having someone look at your timing chains first though. The LLT's chains are known to stretch. The reluctor wheel... you don't even want to know. Thats a big job and very expensive.

Sorry to be so harsh, but yes, either restore the car to stock or be rid of it.
^^^If you hang around here long enough, you can read about every conceivable mod made for these cars - both V6 and V8. Many posts about how bitchin’ some are. Some honest ones too like tossing the throttle controller in the trash. I can’t even say I haven’t modded lightly but leaving them the F alone is pretty good advice. That or starting from the ground up and making your own ‘Bubbamobile!’

So it looks like after 3 years of messing around with this and countless amounts of money spent on Parts that had no effect on fixing the problem I have to trade this POS in and switch to a Ford. I can’t express how much Chevy has let me down with this car. I understand when you mod a car you have the chance to run into issues but to not even be able to give me a answer on what’s wrong is so disappointing.

Have you tried replacing the coil on 2? You can test the coil by swapping it to another cylinder & see if the misfire follows.

the coil has been switched but its always either cylinder 2 4 or random. the odd thing the other day i was driving around in sport mode and in second gear I shifted to late into 3rd and i got the same code I would've getting on the highway. I talked to a friend about it and he said I should be able to bounce it off the limiter with no issue but im not to sure. could this be a tranny issue? it would makes sense that none of the mechanics I took it too could find the issue because they were only looking in the engine.
