Speculation that the supposed ZR1 may be a hybrid.

If it was a test bed, it would look that original mid engine mule we saw a few years ago that was a cobbled mess of a Holden Ute and C7 Stingray.

If its a hybrid, get ready for a 3,800 lb ZR1.

The speculation about the new 2.65L TVS blower is interesting as well. This thing is going to be a monster. Hybrid or not.

Are we going to see a Chevrolet gunning for 1st in LMP1-H at LeMans? Kidding, that's a crazy long shot. But I wonder how long it'll be till it's compared to the P1/918/LaFerrari. If it does end up as a hybrid that is

I think this is true even more so with the car testing alongside of the Camaro Zl1 1LE with is the basis of the GT-4 Camaro.

That vent in front of the cowl bulge, is that new?

Thoughts? Seems odd they would offer such an intense track package for the Corvette. But I could be wrong lol maybe it's some sort of 'going out with a bang' package since it's moving mid-engined

They've been testing this car on the street, which they wouldn't do for a GT3 car.

I'm hoping that hood bulge is for the new 2.65 rotor pack. A lot more airflow, with less heat than the 1.7 on the Z06.

Totally understand that they wouldn't normally test race cars on the street, but they did test the Camaro ZL1 1LE on the street. That car is the basis of the GT4 Camaro so something similar may be happening here. But, we only see the street car.

Watch the videos from Laguna Seca if you haven't. Don't think the ZR1 will have a supercharger. No whine from the Corvettes in the video but you can clearly hear it on the Camaro ZL1 1LE.

Just noticed the big wing cars from that video have exhaust tips that angle towards the drivers side of the car out the back. Kind of weird

It's to help avoid exceeding the sound limits at the track. They are pointed away from where the sound is measured.

Ohh that makes a ton of sense now lol thanks! Now I'm curious why the big wing cars had their tips like that, while the smaller wing cars had normal tips...

I've got some info: a friend of mine works at GM's Proving Grounds and showed me a picture of the C8 uncamouflaged (Orange in color). This car is definitely happening! There will be two Motors to start with (LT6 6.2 liter N/A with 550 HP) & (LT7 6.6 liter Twin Turbo at 850HP). Prices aren't too bad either ( I still can't afford it)
