Well it looks like Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are all building a decent group of 5th Gens. Let’s see who all is here representing the ATX (or surrounding areas). I have seen 4 2010 Camaros already here in town (1 silver w/ black stripes, 1 Red Jewel, 1 Cyber Gray and 1 Victory Red)

Please state whether you are planning on buying, already ordered or already taken delivery. Also list a few details about your Camaro (V6 or SS, Color, etc..) I will get us started:

I took delivery on Tuesday of a 2SS/RS LS3, Inferno Orange Metallic with matching interior. I will be taking it in for white rally striping next week.

I saw a CGM at the Galleria in Bee Cave over the weekend. Anybody want to fess up to it?

I have a CGM 1LT/RS in Round Rock. I've had it for about 6 weeks now and have been all over town. Mine is the one with the dark tinted windows.

Two weeks ago was the first time I had seen another one. A red RS at the Domain.

I was at the hill country galleria last weekend. I parked right on the main street. BUT, while my wife was trying on swimsuits I saw another CGM roll past. I wasn't able to go out and take a look.

My order went into the system 01/02 for a CGM 1SS/RS, still no idea on when I will be getting it. Did you guys order locally? I ordered from a pretty small dealer in Kansas and have been thinking about reordering from somewhere in Austin.

Austin 78754 -- Ordered CGM 2SS/RS on 6/8, looking at October delivery. I have seen two: 1 CGM near my home and work, and 1 BLK on west 2222.

78727 here. I currently have a Red '67 SS. I'm considering buying a 2SS, but I'm going to have to get rid of my Solstice GXP to make that happen....and I'm not sure I want to do that just yet.

So far in Austin, I've seen a black SS and a silver LT. My wife said she saw a IOM on I-35 last week (maybe jmargaglione?)

Is the dealer doing the stripes? If so, which dealer? Don't forget to post some pics after it's done

I wish the local dealers would understand that we're going to find cars for MSRP or less elsewhere. I've bought from Champion before, but I'm disappointed with the way they've treated me about Camaro inquiries.

Wow, thanks for the great response so far. This is what I have been able to compile so far. I also started a social group for us so we can stay somewhat organized. You can search for and join the social group: Camaro5 - Austin, TX.

My plans are that we can build a list of 5th Gen Camaros in Austin for a few reasons. 1) we can have organized rides or photo shoots if you would like 2) we could have organized cruises to some of the local car shows 3) we can all share information for local things like window tint, stripes, exhaust, engine tuning, dyno days, etc….

I also have ties to the Austin F-Body club so we can have some interaction with them as well.

Hey guys Dallas Camaro5 chapter member here....love the Austin area...Hook'em! You guys keep building it up and we will have to meet somewhere in the middle and do a Dallas,Austin,S.A.,Houston get together in the future here. When you guys get some dates and everything set up I wouldn't mind coming down....Keep it going guys gotta get the Cam love out there......Hook'em!!!
