Diff Bushing Replacement

I need to replace my differential bushings and need some help deciding which ones to go with. For those of you that have done this, any feedback/recommendations would be great. I want to go with the Derlin type but I'm leery based on some of the complaints of the NVH. I am also looking at the off set bushings as I am lowered on -1.25 BMR springs. Any advice/suggestions would be helpful. THANKS!

FYI- I have done a search and looking for more recent and detailed info.

Why do you think you need new Diff Bushings?

anything harder than OEM will provide NVH a path to travel through.

I have the BMR Delrin bushings on mine you are going to get move NVH to me it was acceptable, my car is not a daily driver it may see 600 to 1000 miles a year so if you drive it every day it may be more noise than you want. I was looking to stiffen up the rear suspension as much as possible for drag racing.

I have BMR’s bushings. My car is a daily and it is definitely more jolting on bumps than stock and you do get more NVH all around but to me it’s really not much of an inconvenience, and I don’t think it would really bother most people all that much

I have the delrin offset bushings in a Z/28 differential, and get a lot of noise; however, I also have a lot of other suspension-stiffening upgrades (some of which I installed at the same time as the delrin diff bushings) that increase NVH, so it would be difficult to compare. I also have LT headers with no cats and often leave the NPP "open" - this probably also contributes to how much NVH is noticeable in the cabin.

I've mostly gotten used to it, and now just chalk it up to "race car noises".

You may want to list your other suspension-stiffening upgrades and see if anyone with a similar setup could provide feedback relevant to your setup.

I agree with AG1LE I have BMR everything under my car and it was done all at the same time so the noise adds up.

Thanks everyone for the replies, much appreciated. I put on about 3k miles a year. My current mods are: Z28 CAI, LT's, hi-flo cats with the NPP fuse pulled, -1.25 BMR's, B6's, JPSS rear sway, Z28 RUCA bushings, JPSS castor locks. So this thing is pretty noisy now.

I have a Z28 diff that going in asap, with solid rear cradle bushings next.

AG1LE- Do you feel the offset bushings worked/helped as advertised??? I figure if I am going with the derlin might as well go with those.

I haven't really put them to the test. The diff bushings were something I did because I already had the diff out while doing a series of upgrades.

How do you like the Z28 diff compared to the stock one? As far as traction, did you notice a difference?

I just did my cradle bushings and went with solids, they are excellent.

See my post on the install, I provide a detailed instruction with tools required, sizes which will save you multiple trips back to the hardware store, a video of me removing a bushing, AND a torque spec table.
