Seeing that gas tank, this could have been a lot worst.

Ahhh that's right. I need to to touch up on my mythology knowledge apparently haha.

Well hopefully your car gets fixed up right, we all have those bad days. Certainly painful to see.

I don't understand how someone driving a manual for that long still leaves their car parked out of gear...

The car came out of the garage behind me, down the drive the silver Camaro is sitting on, across the street and threaded herself between the natural gas and their brand new Rav 4, didn't hit their house or tree to the right. Went further down the hill to hit the tree infront of the little brown building.
You are VERY lucky that only your car was damaged. Very lucky!

...and clean all that crap out of your driveway, will ya? Looks like hell!

Just kidding, bad luck sometimes comes in three's and this just might be the last one.

It would not have been much help in your case, but on the drivers test they used to ask the proper way park a car on a hill. After parking turn the wheels to the right, so if the e-brake fails, the car will role into the curb.

Mmmm...I don't think there was a curb there to stop it. Having wheels turned would probably have created a more disastrous trajectory for the rolling car!

Wheels turned would have resulted in either car running into the garage, the neighbors new rav 4, or the other neighbors propane tank.

I hate that this happened...but I'll take the tree any day over the other options.
