I think it really depends on the Frequencies and type of garage door opener you have. Before we replaced the current one, it was a breeze to set. Now, with this newer model, at a different scanning freq, doesn't seem to work, no matter what I do ;(

Don't skip. You have to try it the non modulating way, let that fail then go the learning button method.
