The possibility of '09 Camaro available with Flex Fuel

With GM releasing a lot of their newer model vehicle with flex fuel capability, do you guys think that GM will offer this with the Camaro? If so, how will it effect the performance of the car if this technology is offered for this car?

I am woman

I am a girl and I like the car. I would buy this before a Mustang. I really do like the look of the car, though I am more partial to the 1968 style. I liked the curves that year had.

I realize this may sound like a silly question, but anybody know the chances of offering this with some type of fuel friendly option? I would love this to be offered in a hybrid or with a flexfuel option.

I hope they will. With global warming finally being taken seriously and with gas prices again so high, Chevy would be stupid not to offer this. So many other brands have been successful with their hybrids, etc., Chevy would really be behind the competition if they don't.

This will be a huge factor in whether or not I buy this car. And I have wanted a Camaro (ideally a 1968) for over 20 years now.

Nothing for sure right now...no solid information. But, according to GM, it's supposed to have active fuel management (or cylinder deactivation) where it shuts down 4 of the 8 (or 3 of 6) cylinders at highway speeds to help push that MPG over 30. Other than that, we'll have to wait and see.

Ooh ooh, don't forget VVT, and direct injection.
The gearing in this thing will be a big help, too. 2 overdrive gears...come on! And I'm sure it'll be flexfuel!

I agree with CamaroSpike23 AKA the guy who eats babies. I dont care how much gas is. I will never buy a tiny hyprid car. Ofcourse I'll totally go with the cylinder deactivation or flex technology but besides that, screw gas mileage.

I lay down for an evening nap. When I wake up-- gas prices have gone through the roof.
I'd drive a flexfuel camaro as long as it's octane level is 94 or above and cheaper than regular gasoline.

I personally would'nt care if it ran on NITRO METHANE, show me the HP. Seriously, it would be nice to see the cylinder deactivation, this would make it a little easier on the wallet.
