Buck vs. Camaro

There are many hunters who would give anything to have been in the car with me and give chase after our unplanned encounter. Many points on the antlers from what I could see in that short time. This guy was HUGE, probably over 300 pounds, and so very glad, for both of us, that it hit me instead of me hitting him. Charged right into the side of the car at full gallop, still can't believe it. Kudo's to Chevy on side impact protection!

Now all the physical damage experts will come out of the woodwork plus
one "That will buff out" guy. Good luck getting your Camaro back 100%.

HA, I love that one. Cracks me up every time. Except when it's my car of course

Thanks, appreciated. Was a shame but glad it didn't come through window.

Good question, no they didn't. Seem like the sheet metal took most of the impact force. Oh well, has always been a great car so hopefully shop will do a good job since I'd like to keep it.

Friend hit a small deer pass side windshield, came right through and landed in the pass seat. Luckily he was alone because any passenger would have been hurt badly. Car was Totaled 100 lb deer.

I see you have a 12 RS, how many miles on her? Any problems with it?

That will definitely not buff out.

See what happens when you keep your car so shiny? Its a curse for Camaro owners, I know... but let this be a lesson to you all...

Deer do weird damage. I used to have a 1996 Astrovan that I hit a deer with while going around 50mph. The entire front of the van looked like it melted, except for the plastic bits of course. There was also deer fur stuck in everything.

I am no bodywork expert. To those that are, for his rear quarter damage will they likely have to cut that out and weld in a new quarter section?

Best of luck though man. Hopefully it looks better than new very soon!

I hit one similar in size (Rather he hit me) with my 2500 High Country a few months back in the middle of the GM strike. He put quite a dent in the front of that big truck. It took quite awhile for them to source the the parts from other dealers around North America.I think the strike is over now.

Had one do the same thing to me when I was in Utah. I had taken the extra Insurance from the Rental Car Co, so I took it back to them and asked for a new car. That Buck blasted the side of that Rental.
