1981 Z28 COMPUTER MODULE????

Hello, I have a 1981 Z28, originally a 350 auto car... I'm in the process of sticking in a Saginaw 4 speed, but I live in Colorado where emissions laws are VERY strict... So I'm installing a computer back in the car as it originally came with... So, the 4 speed models of z28 that year ONLY came with a 305, so did the 305 setup use a different computer module than the 350 auto type z28?... I know that they controlled some carberator functions and torque converter lockup on the auto models, so I would think that the computers would indeed carry different model numbers... Does anyone know what model numbers were used on these cars?... Does anyone know which model I should be using?...

the computer should be the same. the trans was not computer controlled until 92 when they started the 4l60e's. the only difference for the computer would be the eeprom chip and how it is tuned.

I'm not sure if I understand the eeprom chip, could you please specify?... Thanks for your help... I do have two different computers, so I can try them both, just trying to avoid the infamous check engine light from coming on, if you know what I mean...lol
