Magnuson 2650 hood clearance?

Hey all,

First off, I did run searched on here and online and couldn't find the exact answer I'm looking for, so apologies if this has been asked already.

Second and most important. I've been offered a Magnuson 2650 hot rod kit, from a friend who's getting a 3100, for my 2015 Camaro SS LS3 (eventually will be swapped for a built 427). I am wondering if anyone knows what kind of hood clearance modifications are required to make this work?

I know it doesn't clear factory hood, but more curious on how much of a cowl I would need.

I do know the COPO hood works which has a 3" cowl, but can it work with a 1" or a 2"?

I don't want to cut the the hood but I could be persuaded depending on what it would look like. Has anyone done this to their fifth gen? any pics?

Here is a vid of one on a 5th gen ZL1 and you can see the hood has been cutout, and see how tall the SC is.

On this 5th gen you can get a good look of how tall it is, and that he had to also trim the cowl section behind the blower a bit for it to fit..

Looks like you have to clearance the rear fire wall too
Looks very involved besides the hood

Thanks for all the videos JEWLD, i've looked at those countless times lol. I'm just not a fan of big cowls, so I was hoping that someone knew a 1" or 2" would fit. I read in the comments of the first video they cut up the hood and then eventually switched it out for a COPO hood which is a 3" cowl. Either way, thanks for the input!

and yes the cowl under the windshield needs to be cut for the jackshaft/rear of the blower can clear, this i don't mind modifying.

Magnusson told me 11.5" from the valley plate to the top of the 3100 the kicker was there drive unit was another 4K so 11K for that unit no thank you.
