Flat Black 2012 LS Camaro
Hey guys! My first post! Just wanted to say my LS is in the body shop right now getting stripped of it's factory black paint and becoming 100% flat black. This is the way I wanted the car all along. I'm excited. Should be done in a few weeks. Cost 4k to do this.

Make sure you never and I mean NEVER polish your paint. The moment you do you will have nice glossy patch of paint in your flat black. What a nightmare that would be.
Make sure you post pictures when you get it back.... and welcome to Camaro5.com!

You could have Plastidipped it for the same effect, preserved the reversible option, and saved a truckload of cash. I understand the value of the car plummets too when you paint over the factory paint.
Welcome to Camaro5, and congrats on your Camaro.

yeah OP, if flat black is the way you 100% wanted to go, then paint it. Plastidip just will never look as good as paint.

Just be careful with it. Flat paint is the biggest pain in the butt ever!! Don't let it get any rock chips or your going to have to get a repaint if you want if fixed

A flat black, full vehicle wrap might have been a good choice too. It is also reversible, and it protects the factory paint. It's also cheaper than a paint job.

Ya man didn't want anything wrapped. I wrap presents not my car. Did it the right way that will last forever.
