Same as the ZL1, ZR1 and Z/28, their mission is the same as their historical counterparts but execution is different.

That would also involve developing an Alpha-based Chevrolet to offset the lower volume of the Buick. So you'd have to get two models approved.

There is no place in the Chevy lineup for a new TTV6 rwd GNX "cousin" in my opinion. The SS sedan, and Camaro fill those areas well enough. I can't see a case for a new sports coupe that would basically be like the SS, in that it carries just one engine option as doing an N/A V6 or a V8 in the car would just be wrong.

So if Buick needs a Chevy to help out this case it sure sounds like a tough one to me. I'd love to see the GNX though.

That and the much higher brand image, as well as the higher transaction prices, and the fact that there isn't any real reason why Chevrolet couldn't do everything Pontiac did.
