The dealer showed me a p.i. from GM that adviced them of the problem that may accure. and how diagnose it. So that tells me thay know about it.

The output shaft in the trans between driveshaft and the end of the trans. |

This steel not harding properly happened to me with my 04 GTO 2 days after I bought it. A fork on the pressure plate bent and that was the excuse for it also.
That sucks dude, I hope they get your car fixed soon.

Thank! the dealer just called and said the gm told them to replace the trans with a new one, than send them the broken one.

If it's the 31-spline output shaft in the trans then it's not really the fault of GM but rather of Tremec (who makes the TR-6060)
I have the same trans in my '68 Camaro and the shaft has held up fine.. although it's the aftermerket (T56 Magnum) version. Hope we don't snap the one on our new 2010 SS..

I just got a copy of the PI. #PIP4666A: Vehicle will not move in any gear: If you need any more info on it I will try to scan it to you. should be able to pull it up with this PI#.
