Sounds like some sort of electrical malfunction. If it doesn't bother you then I wouldnt worry about it or feel the need to take it to the dealer. Just goes to show you that our cars are even fast standing still

Made me think I wonder how fast we are actually going. Googled it and best I have found so far is 1,304,000 MPH. Maybe I am weird but I find it fascinating.

But due to the Earth's orbit around the sun, we are actually moving at 29 805 meters per second. However our entire solar system orbits the center of the Milky Way at 220 000 meters per second, which means we are all moving between 190 194 and 249 806 meters per second depending on which month of the year it is and whether or not the Earth's orbit is going with, or against, the general direction of the movement of the sun. But let's ignore the sun's movement relative to the Galaxy's center, because the Galaxy itself is hurtling through the Universe at a tremendous speed, shuffling all of us along through space at a very serious 583 000 meters per second."

Something similar happened to me except I was pulling into my parking spot at work, I always give the throttle a little blurp just before backing in, when I was parked I set my parking break but the parking break alarm started going off, when I looked at my digital speedo, it said 17, and was slowly ticking down, I was at a complete stop.

I had to wait for it to get to 0 before setting the parking break without an alarm.

Also after a very long trip (close to 1000 miles) I was sitting at a red light and gave it a bit of a rev, the digital spedo went up to about 10mph and back down again, after I stopped for some food (about a 30 min lay over) it didn't happen again.
