CAI and MAF

When you guys put a CAI on did you have to change the MAF? I was experimenting with one and the Idle g/s drops to about 1.8 and the idle is up and down.

No need to change a MAF sensor unless the amount of air the engine sucks in becomes more than the sensor can handle/is calibrated for. If the engine idles weird with the new intake, the ECU probably just needs time to adjust for the new air flow profile. Also make sure there are no leaks and everything is tight and seated properly. Which intake did you install? What size tube? Believe the factory tube is 3.25" diameter.

After reading around the forum some guys have had a mild tune done to adjust for the CAI. I’ll get some before and after g/s and a/f numbers and see what you guys think.

CAI, VMax Ported TB, no tune. Notice more pull at low RPM. I'm sure a tune would help more, just don't know who or where to go for one.

There’s got to be a cheaper way than dropping a grand on it.
