hate to say it but what did you expect with long tubes and a muffler and cat delete? Cars like yours are the very reason everyone else is having issues...california is too crowded to have exhaust louder then an f18 flyby.
I run a supercharger and leave everything else stock, except for a set of outlaw mufflers and have never had an issue. Gotta lay low out here.

move out of the people republic of cali it's a communist state. move to TEXAS you can have guns and a loud exhaust plus no front tag and best of all FREEDOM!!! |

Living in San Diego and Santee for a few years I then owned a 54 Chevrolet truck that I had rescued and done a "complete" body off restoration. There was nothing stalk about the drivetrain and if I must say the truck was beautiful when finished. I very seldom ever got on the pedal, just loved cruising with it. She was not loud but had a beautiful old school rumble. When traveling Interstate 8 & 5 I seemed to be a magnet for CHP. Loved the area and the weather but wasn't a fan of some of the vehicle codes. If the vehicle was a piece of trash, smoking or I was raising heck with it then I could see being stopped. Usually the Officer would say please don't take it personal or you do have a very nice looking vehicle!
