If any one is curious about this they work like a champ for keeping your brake fluid cooler. Added a set of these and now on track may brake calipers stay under 350f, previously they were getting to over 500f. Glws

Thank you for the info Deutschezl1.

I have also experienced a benefit of these shims. I previously used Castrol SRF for my '14 SS 1LE on track. Eventually throughout the course of the day I would start to experience a softer pedal. I did not believe this was boiling fluid. The following morning after the car had been exposed to ambient temps the firm brake pedal had returned. After some research, I found out this was hot compressiblity. This can happen with SRF when exposed to very high heat (and other fluids). The pedal softens but returns to normal after a cooldown to ambient. Titanium has very slow heat transfer properties. The idea of these titanium shims is to slow the heat transfer into the fluid. After I installed the shims I neve had any more hot compressibility.

I do not need these anymore as I traded in the '14 and purchased a '22 SS 1LE with the new BCD copper free brake package. The components on this package are massive and it is thermal overkill on a 455 horsepower SS 1LE. I highly doubt I will have any hot compressibility problems anymore.

I do not recommend these be used with OE pads on track as the OE pad heat limit can be reached on track (lots of variables determine this) and you'll want the pads to transfer as much heat into neighboring components as possible. Race pads can benefit from these shims.
