Whats on "DB/DB" that isnt on the "CC/CE"?

How much is a new module?
I think my "1,2,3" post (#375) above is a good summary based on Gene's reply- or lack thereof saying any of it was wrong.
.
.
What you get is the latest round of fixing compatibility issues with various USB hardware (iPhones/iPods, Zune, etc).
.
.
The cost shipped to my door was just under $130.
.
.
The next question you're bound to ask is how hard is it to install. There is a detailed installation thread here somewhere- it didn't look that hard at all honestly.

Everything in your summary is correct.

Just wanted to confirm that DB/DB is the most recent hardware/software combo released as of this point in time? Just checked my car and that's what it came with.

As far as I know it is, I haven't seen anything posted that there is something newer.

I'm a recent new owner of a 2010 2SS and this PDIM thing really stinks. Every time I start the car back up the radio does not remember the folder the USB was playing. It will pick up the song where it left off but the next song it plays is completely random. There appears to be no rhyme or reason. LOL. Also I have to keep turning random back on. Pretty lame. Hopefully they will TSB this issue for us 2010 owners. I'm subscribed now

You'll starve to death waiting on that TSB. Unfortunately, if you want your PDIM to function properly, you need to buy the latest 2011 PDIM (PN 20985421) and install it yourself.

It's not right, but that's the reality of the situation.

Yup, I gathered that after reading the entire thread :-) I'm a good newb!!

I'm torn between saving that money on an aftermarket head unit though...not crazy about the Metra kit. Figured if GM ever fixes the problem then I'll get it taken care of free in the mean time

The sad thing is that the system actually works quite well when you have the updated PDIM.
