Yes, I am resurrecting this from the dead. I stand by what I said in all of the above postings. He didn't do any better in the season opener than his worthless display in the probowl last season or the whole season for that matter. I still say he wasn't even close to being the NFL rookie of the year last season. He should have gotten the "how to pull the wool over the NFL and fans eyes". What a sCam.

I think if the whole team can stop committing big penalties, Russell Wilson has a good chance. I think the regular refs need to come back to help with that - at least 2 calls were BS yesterday, but the penalties cost the game...

I still don't understand your personal vendetta against him. But 23 of 33 (69% completion), 303 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT (1 was his fault, other was good ol' fashioned tipped ball). Not a horrible game, but not great either. But there were MUCH MUCH worse quarterback play on Sunday. Vick and Weeden come into mind.

Totally agree with that all across the NFL. Tons of bad calls and missed calls IMO in the many games I bounced around watching.

Did you see the one where the Seahawks had no time outs left, but tried to call one? The ref granted it, then they took 5 minutes to figure out if there was some kind of penalty for that? It was ridiculous.

you probably didn't watch the game, but all 3 picks were batted balls. So, on the money? not quite. more like luck.

Of course I didn't watch the game! However watching the highlights you can see those batted balls came from him staring down receivers ! He did nice completing his check downs!

I'm just messing! First game and he played a great defense! He'll be okay!

yeah, i know it's mainly his fault. it doesn't help that miami has no receivers that can go deep and get open. He had a big problem with batted balls in preseason as well.

That's true! I hate teams that draft QB's and then don't surround them with talent and basically throw them to the wolves! QB is your franchise do more for it!

Philbin should know that I mean look at where he came from!
