I don't know if you know it, but the Hex Vents are no longer in production.

I have seen on here on the site where members said the 2010 hood wasn't design for a Hex Vent and would cause issues with overheating.
Vents don't cause overheating. You are increasing flow through the radiator and taking hot air out of the engine compartment.

Now a hood scoop plumbing cool air meant for the intake could create a high pressure area and reduce flow through the radiator if the air is just dumping under the hood and not going directly into the engine.

In other words, vents pull air out of the engine compartment and scoops push air into, hopefully, the intake (or maybe the brakes).

Nonetheless, this is a pretty old thread and Hex vents have not been available for a while. TrackSpec is one of the only options still out there.

I am a fan of the 2014 zl1 hood vent, I did it on my 12 and have no regrets.

Yep, Steve Hines of Hines Performance that made these vents closed up the company many years ago when he was having trouble getting the material he needed on a regular basis. I talked to him on the phone back then when one of my friends wanted a set. So now they are no more, unless you find someone selling a set in the ads in the for sale section, or ebay. As cracker states, any vent in the hood will extract heat from under the hood and also help keep the nose grounded. I had a set earlier and when sitting you could actually see the heat waves coming out from them, they worked and looked great. But now if you want something like that, you gotta search around. I have seen a lot of people installing the 5th gen ZL1 vent in their hoods, or the one from ACS. Good luck with your search.

I put the ZL1 carbon fiber in my 2011 1SS/RS and had never done anything like this. I used a temperature heat gun to take the temp. before I put the ZL1 vent in. After running WG Roard course The temp was a lot lower. When I came to a stop you could see the heat come out real fast.

Anything you do to "Draw" the heat out will subsequently cause fresh air to be drawn in.

The 1 on the drivers side feeds the turbo after its water separated..couple of screens ( x2 perforated stainless steel sheets offset of each other and spaced apart to allow great air flow but prevent rain water from reaching the turbo via this path)

The other 1 is for a "balanced look" but feeds into the engine bay.
