Powellbr here is what you should do...
- Figure out your build - Build it - Dyno it - Based on dyno get an idea of ET range - Run it at the track - See what it runs and / or break stuff - Get kicked out - Determine your rollbar/cage requirements Personally I can't see you going under 10.00 very easily so I'm guessing a 6 point rollbar, fire extinguisher and safety cutoff switch. (Along with DS loop, firejacket, helmet and other goodies) is all you're going to need. Have you ever driven a 10.00 ET 4000 pound plus car? It is ridiculously fast on the street compared to a stock SS. If you haven't already you need to ride in some of these fast cars to get a sense for what you're getting into. I've raced and driven friends 9 second 6spd manual cars on the street and on radials they can light up the tires at 80mph under certain conditions. It's a different world... |
