STUPID question warning!!

I have the SS M6 and when going to redline, then shifting, it is Very abrupt and I know I am losing lots of time going into the next gear. Yes, I know how to drive a stick. No, I don't race, nor do I do lots of tear outs, burnouts, etc...Other than "trying" to do a quick shift, is there a method to change gears at high RPMs?

Thanks...
Michael J.

Your car is most likely not broke in. Test it again at around 1,500 miles.

Tried out my matrix accelerometer this morning for the first time.
Ok, v6 rs, auto, stock. about 12 gallons of gas. 80 deg, humidity 20%, elev. 2600 ft.
3 runs. First run 6.56, 2nd run 6.47 (drove in opposite direction). 3rd run 6.54
These times will help me to see changes in 0 to 60 times when I add an exhaust and cai etc.

5 runs: 5.70, 5.72, 5.76, 5.85 & 6.01 secs. (Last run was w/2 persons)

I used a MATRIX 3-axis accellerometer to get the results.
Update:----------------10/01/09 New runs with COOLER weather.......................................

The same place and method as above runs. Only difference was 1/4 tank of gas.
And COOLER temp. of 53 degs. & humidity of 59% ...........elevation: app.350 ft.

0-60MPH 2 runs: 5.50 & 5.42 secs.

COOLER temps. do make for quicker runs....
