Resistor to turn off airbag light from installing Racing seats

I installed Braum Racing seats a month ago and I hate the stupid airbag light and the notification that pops up every time I start my car. The shop I usually go to to get parts installed said they can install a resistor, but it would be easier and cheaper if someone had a write out of what to do and they would follow that. Any of you guys have a fix for this?

I'm interested as well.

Not to change the subject which style Braums did you get? Any pictures? Did you brace the seat back to a harness bar or roll bar?

Thanks
Craig

I got the Braum Elite series X seats. The brackets from Planted which is the company Braum gets their brackets from were a pain in the ass! The holes weren’t even aligned and the shop I got the seats from gas to reweld and drill new holes to make it align. Braum says that’s super rare for that to happen and they apologized. I waited about 5 months for the black with white stitching to get back in stock and they are very nice. I’ll post pics later. I haven’t gotten a harness bar/roll bar yet

From my understanding the resistor added will work. It seems this topic is like taboo and you have to pull teeth to get a straight answer on this. I've been holding off on a change on my car as well. I have full power Recaros's and they are heavy as hell. I plan to preserve the Recaro's by removing them and putting them away. I'm gonna add non powered Recaro look alike in my car but I think to avoid the air bag crap I'll just add the seat air bags in the the aftermarket seats. I'll probably do custom upholstery to the aftermarket ones also.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. The shop I have most of my work said to get a write up of the resistor and such so it would be cheaper, but no one seems to have a write up of how to do it. So, i’ll probably just have to spend more money and have them try different resistors and such until the light is gone and no other problems. Didn’t think it would be so hard to find someone who had put a resistor on get rid of the airbag light when other cars are simpler lol

I looked into aftermarket seats when I had my mustang. Corbeau has a video where they installed their seats on a newer mustang with airbags and weight sensors. Might point you in the right direction. Creating a resistor doesn’t seem to bad from what I remember

I installed cipher seats, after driving a few times its really not that bad, clear the signal on the stalk other than that the only thing is the green light on the dash,

here is a pic of the seats, which are really comfortable

Is the general consensus that the airbag warning means the entire airbag system is DISABLED?

Has anyone successfully installed parts from their OE seats to trick the system into thinking the side airbags are connected and/or a passenger is present?

Doing a lot of searching but not finding consistent results. Not sure if I feel comfortable going from all the airbags functioning to none, but these cloth seats throw me around everywhere in competition settings.
