Okay, so just to clarify. Is the new mirror setup supposed to function as a backup camera display, or a rear view display while driving to help make up for the poor rear visibility? I had assumed it was the latter, which is a cool idea.

Sounds like a cool feature. I would think a camera on the back of the roof antenna would be a great location for displaying a regular driving image for the rear. For a backup cam, I’d think they’d want something closer to the ground that has the bumper area in sight. Sort of two different purposes IMO.

It's a fantastic feature. I switched to camera when I fist sat in it and it's been there since.

Plus it just seems like a much better location. I've never had an issue with rear visibility either. Even with the wing going across the back it's still not an issue. Sort of blocks out bright headlights too but definitely doesn't block cars. The angle is just right. |
