RPM Rollbar Install tips?

I have a 6pt roll bar from RPM on the way. I'm looking for any of you guys that have done one of these to post up any tips you might have to help me and others make this as smooth of an install as possible. So, any tips or surprises to watch out for? Thanks!

Vert? All you have to do is drop the top. That's the easiest install of them all. The other two guys have to shoehorn 10 lbs of poop in a 5 lbs bag.

Have it shipped to me and I'll install it with Alex and I'll send you a step by step video so when your next one comes in, you'll have no problems getting it installed. 😄

It is a bit tougher than it looks, even with a vert.
I bought some used interior rear panels because you have to cut the plastic to fit the bars to the floor. My engine shop did all the work.
The more interior you take out the easier it should be to fit drill and install.

Cool! Thanks for the pics and info. I'm worried about cutting the carpet without butchering it and looking like crap lol.

The carpet kit isn't that expensive. If you screw it up you can get a full replacement piece fairly cheap. Worse case you find a wrecked one and hit the salvage yard. Get some chalk so you can outline where you need to cut.

I read a magazine article last night that had an install of this bar in the 5th gen and it said to expect to take about 20 hrs to install!!!

It said that the bar cannot go in without removing the center console completely and nearly gutting the interior entirely! I knew the seats had to come out. I didn't see this console part mentioned in the RPM install instructions. Ugh. I'm hoping it will go smoother and faster than this.

Any more tips to add? Thanks!
