October 31 of last year it was snowing here in Indiana.

But really, if it's 50s and rain, is it even fun on the track? I feel like you couldn't push it at all.

Rain, not so much, but it's a great way to learn car control. Gingerman has a lot of runoff, so you might just end up cleaning off some dirt and grass.

I registered. Looks like it will be mostly sunny and 55 degrees on Friday the 16th. And the CAMARO5 coupon code didn't work.

I'm not going to be able to go, life's too chaotic right now.

I really hope to participate in more events next year though.

Will the Eagle F1s even tolerate the 55deg track? I guess you get them warm after couple laps?

Thanks!....I am trying to work this into my schedule. Rear diff is giving me issues and I want to dump the fluid and try it without friction modify to see if I can put the power down instead of peg leg out of the corners like my last outing :(

Despite some occasionally uncooperative weather, it was an excellent day at the track. I hadn't turned a single dry lap in my ZL1 since last summer (the LeMons effort has been soaking up all of my seat time), so it was great when the weather cleared late in the morning. It was a bit tough getting heat into the tires, but the motor sure enjoyed the cool temps. In the first afternoon session, I clicked off a series of 1:46.x laps once the traffic cleared, and then I got a personal best of 1:44.5 on the fourth lap of the next session. After spending the following two laps reeling in the black GT-R by seriously overdriving the car, I got around him on the 6-7 straight only to go four-off in Turn 9 from a serious overestimate of what the tires were capable of providing at that moment :(

The new pavement seemed pretty awesome, but I quickly learned that I'd come to depend on some of the old surface defects as visual references

Other than a small number of folks in the Intermediate group that had some serious issues with yielding the track to faster cars (we did a really nice three-lap parade during one of the wet sessions) and my aforementioned red-mist incident, I had a great time on the track and in the pits. Thanks a ton to the CGI guys for putting on yet another great event.

I had a great time despite the weather. I got two good sessions in and improved my best lap there by 2 seconds. I ran a 1:44.978 and even had a few rain drops on my windshield during the lap. It was nice to sit and talk shop with Becky too event if she didn't bring her Camaro. I snapped a few pics too.
