With the ability to data log it's easy to keep from getting into a lean condition. I have a tune I run for N/A and one that I run for Nitrous, it takes about 10 minutes for me to load the Nitrous tune on at the track and I'm ready to go.

About time

This has been a subject that I have tried to prompt interest in numerous times. There is so much negative rumor about this method of power that most people are really fearful about it. Not to mention the amount of poor information about using it properly leading to bad outcomes.

Nitrous cars make the most power for the least money. All things considered. You need less engine mods and goodies to do it and it's only there when you turn it on.

Not really a bad deal for a guy who wants to drive his car everyday but go fast on Saturday nights.

Absolutely! And it seems like our cars love nitrous. It gives us all the down low torque you need. You would need to fill up a 10lb bottle 100x and spend 2k plus on a system to by a supercharger setup. And that's not including the supporting mods you'll need if you want to add more boost

I did my ZEX kit for about $650, but I already had my tuner from DynoSteve so he just sent me a Nitrous tune to load when I use the Nitrous at the track. I have a N/A tune for the same bolt ons without the Nitrous. I like it so far. You can really feel the torque come on at the line, I don't feel like I need gears anymore. Now if the freaking Nitrous shortage would end and the prices came back down that would be nice. Nitrous is going for $10/lb if you can find it.

And of course Pics of your setup would also be a nice addition.

Motor (CI):6.2
Brand:zex
Horsepower Shot:175hp
Cam:tsp vvt stage 1
Trans/Clutch/Converter:6l80 circle D 3500 rpm converter
Fuel System (E85, dedicated fuel setup, etc.) :65lb injectores, stock pump on mixed e85
Other Nitrous Extras:bottle heater
Installed/ Tuned by:installed by a friend tuned by me at the dyno with hp tuners
Horsepower/Torque Numbers before and after spray: 445whp before/ 600whp 600 tq
1/4 mile time/speed/60ft:
1.6x 60ff
6.9x 1/8
10.9@125
On 93* F and 85+% humidity, track is sea level, but DA is mostly around 2500'

Stock l99 long block with a cam, on 17" drag radials. Nitrous kit is maxed at 175 shot if not I would have already crossed the 200hp shot a while ago. The stock fuel pump can't handle full e85 and the nitrous, so I run it at 40-50 % ethanol and 88 octane fuel, inconsistent nitrous supply is turning me towards the supercharger route.

That's a nice setup. Impressive time! Are you going to run a dedicated fuel cell?

no fuel cell, stock SS fuel pump runs it all, i keep A/F ratio around 12.0 with nitrous and retard 3 degrees of timing via lingenfelter box
