Yeah definitely Che trunnion , screw them needle bearing . If the race fails then the needle bearing will let loose .

Car gods were looking out for you . I had a trunnion with needle bearing fail aswell and let all the needle bearing loose , had to get them out of the oil pan .
Just for piece of mind I’d take one of the other rocker arms apart and count the needle bearing and make sure the one that broke has them all , if not I bet their in your oil pan .

I was lucky aswell and cam wasn’t damaged . Same here how my motor survived was beyond me ..

Went with Che trunnion and have never looked back .

My gosh!!! That’s insane! I’m glad you didn’t have anything too crazy happen. It definitely is an issue with some of these “upgrades” but then again people tend to only complain when something is wrong. So I’m skeptical. I truly wish I knew why these failed for each person this happens to. It just tells me something probably isn’t right somewhere down the line, but I’m no expert hence the post.

I just went with CHE as well. Today I will be doing the valve springs and new trunnions. Ordered new rocker arms since they were showing wear on the tops with the failed trunnions. Again, super glad you made it ok through that. It’s scary.
