LEAVING N\A AND GOING BOOST

I am currently set up with CAI, headers, no cats and using the SCT X4 tuner.

I am looking at going centrifigal supercharger and want to know how I am going to get a tune for it.

GPI was telling me that they can only tune for a supercharger at their facility and cannot do it through email.

I also have a really good chance to get a complete HP Tuner suite\package.

Will this be a better opion for tuning the supercharger, or getting a tune.

And am i just stuck trying to tune my one car.

Also, can the car be driven on the blower without a specific tune.

Can I drive my car with the blower before the tune. Like on the way to the tuner?

Hello, you cannot drive your car after installing a supercharger or turbo. You stated you have an SCT tuner. Most reputable tuners such as RDP and Jannetty Racing will send you mail order tunes for this particular tuner and also update your tunes with data logging after initial install. I have dealt with both of these places and both have outstanding customer support. Steve is at RDP and Ted is at Jannetty, both outstanding guys. Good luck and hope this helps.

Find a tuner than can bench load a "starter" tune where you pull your ECU and get a tune close enough to drive.

Before you do anything, spend any money... Call and talk to Ted Jannetty. Tell him what you are wanting to do. Just a nice hotrod, a street toy or a all out race car. You may not always hear what you want but you will always hear the truth. He will let you know real limits and what supporting mods you will need to reach your "goal".

I bought a ESS supercharger kit and one of his L99 to LS3 with cam kits and installed last year. He tuned my setup remotely, including my transmission. And helped me with anything that came up along the way.

If you have HP tuners, we offer email tuning (as long as you have a wideband). We only do GM cars in person, so we have a lot of great files to go on. Then with HPT/wideband you can datalog and we can continue to touch it up. We've done a lot of email tuning for those in remote locations that don't have good access to a local tuner.

Contact Jannetty If your parts from them pretty sure he will provide you with a tune. Talk to him about your goals and he can set you up. I bought my whipple and pretty much all my parts through him he provided me with a tune and it was a very good tune I had no issues with it. I did go have it dynotuned afterwards though just to be sure all was well. I just bought his SC cam and he provided me with another tune no charge to get me running and I will do the same thing and get it dynotuned later. No you cannot run your car without getting a tune after supercharging it.
