255 Upper Pulley

Is anyone running a 2.55 upper on stock injectors? I had a buddy of mine tell me I had to get bigger injectors for a 2.55. I thought I heard you can roll stock injectors though. I thought 2.45 and lower needed injectors.

2.55 is 18% overdrive on the blower

Stock injectors will only support a max of 10% overdrive

You need injectors and a tune.

Thanks!! I suppose doing a pulley that doesn't require injectors probably isn't worth it anyway then?

Our 75 RWHP package is very impressive change, makes the car feel more balanced we have sold and installed Hundreds of these packages and everyone reports back with big smiles and praise.

We never recommend changing the upper pulley all should be down with lower pulley.

Ted.

I know you are just having fun, and you do not intent any harm with this but it is these light hearted comments that lead people in the wrong direction.

Possible result, Stupid high IAT, an overspeeded blower and a broken engine from too much boost on low octane fuel

A recommendation like this needs to include all the details so as not to mislead someone.

For something like this you would need

Rotofab
LT headers with high flow exhaust
Cam Package
Blower Porting
102 Throttle body
TR7IX plugs
MSD wires
Crank case breather
Fore innovations fuel fuel pump fuel system with return
ID1300 injectors
E-85 fuel or Race gas.
and very competent custom tuning.

Ted.

Yep. Another recommendation to spin the blower at 25k or higher. Not good.

Of course I'm new to the game but I thought most people do the upper first anyway and 2.55 is pretty common. Is that not correct?

If not any recommendations on pulley options. Car has a light tune with a Rota fab and catback exhaust. I'm not looking for huge power and I'd really like to roll stock injectors if possible but also can get new ones.

Popular doesn't mean the right way or best way.

Our ATI superdamper with 10% overdrive pulley, belt, ARP bolt, 174 thermostat and JRE custom tune will bring it all together for a great running fun car.
