How do you guys think this would look? SIM with glossy black bumblebee stripes...those black rims with the red outline posted on the previous page...a blacked out front bowtie with a red outline (transformers 2 style)...and then red pinstriping on the outline of the bumblebee stripes instead of black?

I think it would look nice but I wouldnt put the red on the stripes...JMO

Yea its hard a litte but each day the car looks better except when I see it with all parts off the car!!!!!

I think it would look good but black/red/silver (for me) is a little too much. I have already blacked out my bowties with vinyl and I think it looks good. Will be putting in the stealth turn signal bulbs this weekend. I bought them a month ago before I got the car! I got them because the front of the SIM (for me, again) didn't look good with the amber turn signal lights showing. Too many colors in one place, gold bow tie, amber lights, black grill, SIM.

That paint does look great ddunerider

Did you get the stripes on the rear spoiler too?

Yes I did they are going to roll around the back and stop so you can see when driveing behind me.I was too exiceted and forgot to take a photo of the spoiler..

Hello SIM family,

Been lurking here for quite some time. Picked up my 2SS Sept 30th and I have to say that this forum has been a wealth of information....made the 41/2 month wait just a tad bit easier!!

Made a few mods...Magnaflow axle back, Tint (5% rear 35% front),Diablo tuner, 2 12 inch subs, some minor interior additions and just recently had custom stripes painted on. Black stripes with a touch of silver pearl mixed in. Also had a razor thin red pin stripe applied where the black meets the SIM. I absolutley love how it turned out!! Really sets off the red SS badges. Not sure how the pics will turn out....I know there are alot of people banging their heads trying to figure out if the should paint their stripes or go with the decals. Hope this helps a little. Tell me what you think. Overall paint cost was around $1000.

OK, I take it back. That red trim on the stripes looks bad a$$!!! Very nice. I like the solid black on the cowl. The tail is the first I've seen without a bowtie. Very original.

Are the gills painted too?
