Same here. I don't mind an inch or so sticking out. In fact, looks pretty cool.

Waiting patiently for you to get these fitted. I really want to run a tire this size too! Itching to leave 2 big 12 in wide stripes down the street!!

Remember guys these are going on 18x11 wheels and the tires are only 25.9" tall. That's almost 3" shorter than stock. These will will have less clearance problems than a similarly wide tire on a 20" wheel.

That depends on what kind of "clearance" issues you're talking about. Just by installing these tires, you're essentially lowering your car 1.5". Add that to whatever amount of lowering you already have, and you could be scraping the bottom of your car over every little pebble. But I suppose if they are going to be for track-only, then do whatever you like. I can totally appreciate the performance advantages you're trying to achieve here, but "the look" is just not for me. They're nice and wide, but I think the height will just make the whole set-up look funny! It's like the opposite of donkin' out your car with the huge 26"+ wheels!!! Either way it's going to look kinda weird in my opinion. But I wish you the best, and hope you achieve your goals with this. Eager to see pics!!!

The 335/30s are supposed to be taller than my 315/30 drag radials but they are actually a little shorter when next to them, maybe mounted and aired up they will be a little taller. When I first got my 18" Forgestars I had ordered some 28" 255/50 18 for the front, that looked REALLY goofy and handled like an SUV. I only made one trip around the block and took them off. Here is what my drag radials look like and these 335/30 tires should look very close in height.

OK - did the 335 new tires fit yet?
I cant wait to some pics already. Are people not using 18x12 because they stick out past the wheel well? Is there an offset that will bring them in enough to fit? Sux you seem to be man to try to stretch it to the limit. |

The offsets on my 18x11s have the face of the wheel sit just inside the fender (I hate wheels that stick a out, almost as much as stretched tires). The only down side is that when lowered the inside of the barrel, barely rubs on the lower control arm. I have ground down the spot that the wheel rubs on. If I do go with 18x12s I will have to remove the lower control arms and notch them to clear. I might have to massage the inner fender well a bit too.
