I have done events (now approaching 25) at Watkins Glen and Mosport in Canada and both have required ID numbers for all cars. At the more organized events, the first digit of the number will be your run group and the last two will match your assigned instructor.
Example:
Instructor: 005
Solo: 105
Advanced Run Group: 205
Intermediate Run Group: 305
Novice: 405

We have had a request to be in BG Wednesday afternoon to perform factory style cycle the ABS pump full brake fluid changes. We charge $100 for that service with customer provided fluid or $249.00 labor and SRF (two bottles client keeps the leftover). Let me know if you would like to schedule this service.

Make sure you are your Camaro are prepared for this event. Here is a short, minimum get ready list.

1. Fresh High Temperature Brake Fluid
2. Fresh Oil Change, 15/50 Mobil 1 is specified for LS7s and some new 6th Gens
3. At Least 70% of the brake pad material will be needed to get you through one track day. Bring spare brake pads.
4. Tire Gauge
5. A Pre-Track Life and Death Check, some refer to this as a nut and bot check. We prefer the term Life and Death Check because depending on what bolt comes loose, it may be a matter of life and death. On a lift or jack stands, lay a wrench on every nut and bolt in the suspension and drive line. Give them each a couple of good grunts. Use a paint marker to draw a line on the nut to the non-movable surface so you can visually spot check them.

At every track event I have ever been too I see drivers religiously checking torque on their wheel lug nuts. Not a bad idea, but comical when they haven't checked a single nut or bolt under their 'race' car for weeks, months or years.

Another avenue is to go to a NASA Tech, service station. Most of these will do a very thorough tech inspection for free or for a small sum ($25-$50). I just had mine teched again for this trip. I had my brakes bled off a bit and pads checked as part of the inspection.

Just as a point for the 6th Gen SS folks. The stock pads may leave brake dust from here to China, but the pads are good pads. They will hold up under a novice day at the track without issue.

I thought we are running the full course?
What's up with this, NCM just sent this out in an email:

"Other Upcoming Events
Camaro Fest VII | July 13, 2017 | West Track"

Their mistake...

Full course is already bought and paid for.

Hopefully you are paid up as well. Registering doesn't guarantee you a spot. In fact pretty sure we won't be adding anyone to the list as it stands.

I am gonna have to cancel my trip to camarofest. This really sucks but I can't get away from work right now. So someone can have my spot for the road course if they want it. Sometimes owning a business really sucks because I can't just plug in vacation and go. Really hope everyone has a blast. Be safe out there Thursday!
