Thanks! I have a dash ABL kit to install so I will kill two birds with one stone.

Welp, that answers that...

New replacement part is no better. Probably only seen the light of day 20 times in the past two years or whatever it's been since my earlier posts. Bubbling AGAIN. Will probably strip one and try to glue it myself. Nothing to lose.

My '12 RS did that early on--about 2013, when approx 1 year old. Never replaced it and it hasn't gotten any worse over the years.

I'm guessing that GM may have revisited the standard parts but decided to leave the IOM parts alone, due to stock on hand and it already being out of production. In any event, I plan to remove the leather from one of my two parts and talk to a local interior shop about what adhesive he'd recommend to re-apply it. Like I said, with two pieces, I have nothing to lose. I can't imagine what the majority of the daily drivers look like if I've had two go to crap in my car with less than 7k on the odometer.

I forgot to mention that mine is a daily driver and has over 50K miles on it. Sits in the sun the majority of days, but we do have a reflective shield for the windshield. As I said, it'snot any different than the photo you posted.

No but early 5th gen dashes crack on the right upper side. Mine is 12+ years old and is still perfect
since I've never touched it and only wipe it down with a damp cloth.
