ZL1 1/4 mile time and ZLS vs BOSS!!!

Like one should expect, the ZL1 did better at Leguna Seca. Good stuff GM. Next matchup... Well, we all know what that will be. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...l1-test-review Car and Driver tested it at Indy in the 1/4 mile. 12.3 @ 119. The track was crap so we can assume a .1 or .2 second decrese on average in time with better conditions. We will see a stock ZL1 run 11s one day, just not that day.

Nice story, so the ZL1 has now knocked off Ford's prized Boss which was marketed as a turnkey racecar. Now we have to listen to the Ford gang cry hp advantage of the Chevy, but reading the story, the editors clearly thought the ZL1 had the superior suspension, brakes, and technology all while being 400 lbs heavier.

Yes but don't forget Ford marketed this Boss as a "Turnkey Racecar" and the absolute standard in an domestic course ready vehicle. Ford painted itself into this corner, now they must best the ZL1 with the 13 GT500 or upgrade the Boss.

Both will happen. I think the 12 GT500 w/the FRPP would be a good matchup, but thats not the case here. ZL1 vs Boss and the better car for the scenario won.

Yep, its the same arguement the SS guys had when the SS was compared to the GT500... Soon the top dogs will hit the strip and track and we will see who walks away (no pun intended)

I have seen the LS Boss faster than the GT500 around Laguna Seca so the ZL1 shoul not have a problem posting better times than it as well. The 2013 GT500 is what we should be looking forward to seeing vs ZL1. New vs New.
