Tire Size Question

I have a 2010 camaro rs package with the stock 20's . With front 245/45/20 and rear 275/40/20. I was looking for some new time and I was wondering what other size tires can fit my car for example I was looking at Michelin - Pilot Super Sport which has the front tire in 245/45/20, but not the rear would my rims be able to fit the 285/35/20 size that they have?

And if not what is another good tire choice besides the standard pirellis?

But is this still the case for 2010 Stock RS Rims?
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62838

These are the two tires I'm looking at 245/45/20
and 285/35/20 this one because there is no 275/40/20

Dont do it, your rear tires will be smaller than the front, it will look funky.

Use this tire size calculator to make sure that the tires' diameter you want to buy match (or at most, not more than 0.5 inches bigger in the rear).

Yes they will be almost an inch shorter in the rear.. Terrible look.. 315/35/20 is the same exact height and sidewall as the 245/45/20. Just not sure I love the pinch of a 315 on a 9" wheel. seems to be too much

Michelin makes a 275-35-20 PSS. You could buy a pair of rear 20x9 RS wheels for $200 and run a square setup all around. You could then rotate from front to back. The 35 series tire handles noticeably better than a 40 series tire. The car would be about a half inch lower with the 275-35-20's over the 40 series tire. You could run a less expensive tire setup with 20x9's all around using 275-40-20's. 285's are too big for a 20x9 wheel. Michelins run wide. Get some 20x10's and run 285-35-20's and you will notice a world of difference in handling. Your in SoCal. There are tons of canyon drives.

Stick to stock sizes for stock rims.

Looking for an all season or performance tire?

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.
