and also your gas mileage.
shifting at 2k or below is the only way to maintain a decent MPG especially modded.

either get a tune.. or get the eliminator.

This doesn't always work for me. You have to accelerate faster.

Yeah...don't blame the engineer. He was doing exactly what he was told and found an optimized location in which it can be utilized to maximize gas mileage and avoid the Gas Guzzler tax....

Also....there are several engineers included in its creation. You have a Computer Engineer who programmed how it was coded, and how it tied into the ECU. You have a Mechanical Engineer who handled the thermal properties and mechanical workings of the internals, and you had a Electrical Engineer who handled how it was powered, how it transmitted signals, and how it was controlled.

I get so tired when people attack engineers....

Computer Engineer/Software Dev here - we just do what we're told, regardless of how dumb the business need is. We throw our two cents in to the big pond, walk away, put our heads down and code

From the manual

Quote:
This message will come on when:

• The engine coolant temperature is higher than 76°C (169°F),
• The vehicle is going 24 to 31 km/h (15 to 19 mph) and
• The vehicle is at 21 percent throttle or less.

Thats how i feel about this HSA,the skip shift eliminator is an easy $10.00 fix, however the HSA is another story.

Yep. And in that case the engineer IS to blame. The HSA system is designed poorly, and they failed to include a disable option.
