Extremely inexpensive axle back

Any knowledge on this very inexpensive axle back exhaust?

I went the cheap route with the Legato Muffler system and got burned... One of the tips was welded on incorrectly and they would not warranty their muffler. It's not a game changer and I'm still using them but my point is usually cheap means cheap.

Lol. Usually is true. I just was a 3rd gen guy for like 15 years, and wow,. Sticker shock on all the parts for these cars. Thanks for the input though guys.I kind of want to get it, just to see if it good or bad. it is cheap enough to gamble on. Then I could review it. And to the guy with the Legato. That sucks.!! I hear they sound pretty good though. But I guess their customer service is bad. I may end up with either BBK Varitune, or stainless retro. Catback or axle back . I have so much to learn about these cars. Wow. I called my dealer and they said I shouldn't do anything but an axle back and a cold air. I have a 4 year extended warranty. I may just do a cat back, and say heck with the exhaus warranty . But even then, I have already read that then I will need to get a Range Devise or else listen to crappy exhaust tones while switching back and for between 8 and 4 cylinder modes. Not to mention the fact that a axle back is supposedly no HP gain. And a catback is small gains. I would love to do headers, but I would really worry about my warranty then. It seems so complicated. I am glad I really love this car. Or else it would not be good. Thanks guys.

And to top it all off I have a vert with factory ground effects. Which means lots of systems won't work, or would need to be modified.

Leave your waranty intact for a while while you learn more about this car. Take it to your local muffler shop and have them take the cans off and weld a straight pipe in its place. Shouldnt cost no more than $100. Get a CAI and just enjoy what you have for a while.

Thank you. Sounds like pretty good advice. Especially about leaving the warranty intact for a while , while I learn more about the 5th gens. 2 things though. I called both Midas and Meineke and they both said it would be $ 200.00, maybe $225.00 to cut off cans and run pipes back and replace tips. . Now that isnt a lot, but at that point it is a decent amount towards a axle back. And I seriously don't want my car droning or loud going down the highway because I go with the top down all the time, and my girl is usually in with me. I even bought some thrush welded mufflers and was going to have them put on , but decided against it. Took them back already. Got to thinking I was going to throw away a couple hundred dollars and it would sound awful. Thanks again for all the input guys. It really does help. Even if it just makes me think more about it before I do something that I kind of regret. I am going to think on this , and may take your advice though.

Get the Solo Axleback with J-pipes if you want no drone. It was $600 installed and has less drone than the GMPP exhaust I took off the car. And I love the way it sounds. It's not as deep as axlebacks with actual muffs but it sounds awesome when you get on it. It's all stainless, and mandrel bent. It's one step up from just hacking the muffs off and replacing with pipe.

I got the RANGE and but don't it when I'm highway cruising.. Otherwise, I use it for my day-to-day driving where going AFM will not benefit me. You can get them for about $100... just make sure you get the current rev. level.

IMO, if I had an auto with any kind of warranty, I'd remove the secondary cats (not monitored) and get rid of the big ass suitcase resonator under there. The OEM mufflers actually sound quite good on their own, it's everything else upstream that's hindering the sound.

Save and get a solo axle back

sounds bonkers at WOT, and honestly drones no worse than my stock suitcases at cruise

Just $157. As long as not made in China not much to lose even if it just last 2 or 3 years.
