Thumbs down another a/c problem on a 2011 camaro rs

i know there's many a/c threats already but i wanted to know if any of you seen this or had this problem before.

i was driving home back from work when i started noticing the my ac was blowing colder than usual. and when i said cold its cold cold freezing air, i even start seeing little ice on the vents. didn't pay attention to it and i just shutting off by pressing the ac bottom but kept the blower fan going. and the air kept coming out freezing freezing cold. i had to turn the knob almost down to hot to make it blow like a regular ac.

i got home and turn off the radio and noticed the the compressor was still running even when i had my ac shut off. had to turn off the car for the compressor to shut off.

i called my Chevy dealer and they told me they had a recall but that he didn't think my car was part of it bc the recall was for cars having problems with the compressor not turning on at all and told me to bring it in to check it out

Actually julio the program your dealer referred to may have you covered. Hopefully closer scrutinization will show exactly what the program is for. Hopefully this gets your vehicle back into proper working order. Let us know how it goes for you.

I had the same issue, the dealer reprogramed the body control module and that fixed it. No more issues after 3,000 miles so far. Temp over 100 here for 84 days now and its cold without recirc. So I would say try the dealer.
